On Thanksgiving day, 1000 people will have a chance at one of those three items at the prices list (Wii $79, PS3 $139, 360 $99). The item that gets the most votes, will be sold to 1000 random voters at the listed price. All you have to do to enter is have an Amazon account, and vote (http://promotions.amazon.com/gp/holiday/amazon-customers-vote/)

I believe only those that voted for the winning console are eligible to purchase it at the discounted price (for instance, out of all those that vote for the Wii, 1000 of those will be selected to buy it at $79, whereas those who voted for the PS3/360 are SOL), but I’ll have to double check that. The Tokyo Game Show 2007 is slowly approaching (Sept 20th - Sept 23rd) and it looks like some news just can’t seem to contain itself. According to a Korean website (loosely translated by google), it looks like something regarding FFXIII Melody will be made. We’re not entirely sure what to make of this just yet, but it looks like it will be a new title by Square-Enix. This would go right along with what Square-Enix had previously said about making the FFXIII series last 10 years with various spin-offs on various platforms.In related news, apparently this may be the only public showing of anything Final Fantasy XIII we will get as Square-Enix has already announced that the trailer will be shown behind closed doors (once again).

FarCry, Prince of Persia, Rabbids, Ghost Recon for free on PC
ShackNews leads us to free ad-supported PC games for this lazy holiday in the US. You’ll be able to play full versions of FarCry, Raving Rabbids, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and Ghost Recon, though you’ll need a US Ubi.com account to install the games. It seems, for the time being, that not all combinations of movies work. You may have to do a bit of experimentation to find a combination that works. NOTE: You will not see the discount until the ‘Review Order’ screen.
If it helps any, I got 300, TMNT, and Curse of the Golden Flower to work on Blu-ray. Some people have said they have been able to combine both HD/BD titles in one order, but, like I said, it depends on the combination.

This feature has been long overdue. First off, the reason for that is because, so far, all of the ‘credit’ type mods have all ended being exploited and causing problems to the forums they were installed on. So, because of that, I was a bit weary at adding these types of mods to AFKAY. I have been eying this particular one for a while now, and it seems pretty safe. There is a possibility that this one may cause some problems in the future, so, just an advanced warning, if that’s the case, I will have to remove the feature. I can’t see this happening, but if it does, I just wanted to let you guys know that this feature may be gone, if it does end up causing problems.
With that said, here is the new AFKAY credits system. It is still a work in progress, though. I believe everything is running smoothly. The way it works is, you get:
1 point per post
50 points for referring an ‘active member’ (an active is someone who has been active for at least 10 days, and has at least 50 posts. In other words, they do not have the “Newbie” rank) .
That is basically it. There may be some changes to the system in the future. For now, there aren’t any uses for the credits, but, in the future, there will be. The developers of this cash mod are working on a shop mod that is an add on for this. Once the shop mod add on is completed, I will install that, and have a shop for you guys to spend your credits.
One more thing. It’s possible that credits system may have some problems. If it is giving you too many/too little credits for your posts, send me a PM and I’ll go about getting it fixed.
